From a young age, health and wellness has been an integral part of Tammy’s life. She grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and moved to Florida in 1993. Tammy played collegiate basketball at Stanford University and tennis at the University of Cincinnati. She holds a degree in health education with an emphasis in exercise physiology. Tammy has a 200 hour Yoga Alliance Certification, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the NSCA, and a teaching degree in health and physical education.
Tammy studied yoga in Delhi, India for two years. Tammy teaches many styles of yoga, including hatha, vinyansa, and power yoga. Tammy emphasizes a focus on breathing and its restorative effects. Yoga has changed Tammy’s life in many ways and she loves to find innovative ways of helping others experience its benefits.
After teaching high school for many years, she decided to follow her passion and became a full-time yoga, health and wellness professional.
Tammy’s hobbies include yoga, trekking, tennis, weight training, kayaking, bicycling, reading and traveling. In early 2012 she went on expedition to Antarctica, completing her quest to visit all seven continents.
